Alibat
The Challenge:
Alibat Principal, Alice Batliner-Sutton is an emerging
San Francisco artist, producing a high volume of publicly
and academically recognized work. But, without commercial
or critical attention she had come to the realization
that she was more artist and practitioner than natural-born
"business owner." Batliner-Sutton engaged
Lazlo Marketing to transform her creative vocation
into a thriving art enterprise.
The Solution:
Lazlo Marketing methodically introduced Batliner-Sutton
to the art marketplace and outlined the required stages
of business development in the form of an Action Plan.
Throughout the process, Lazlo provided her with feedback
and education to leverage in the coming year, as her
plan was implemented.
The Result:
Alibat enjoyed an expanded market presence,
with three showings in the Bay Area.
Mounting awareness among industry players,
including curators, professionals in the art e-commerce
arena, and other influencers.
Batliner-Sutton was now well versed in her
own plan and all the protocol she must follow to profit
from the commercial industry of art.
Alibat gained introduction to some of the most
influential art institutions in the country including
San Francisco's Modern Museum of Art (SFMoma) and
Guggenheim.
Alibat now possesses an extensive database
of art influencers, venues, and contacts.
